A Bit from the ADA on Weight Management and Exercise

I picked up a copy of What to Expect When You Have Diabetes from the American Diabetes Association when I was at  the library today. It’s a book of 170 “tips” (more like 170 frequently asked questions) for diabetics.

On first scan, there are 23 pages–21 questions and answers–dedicated to the chapter on Living Well: Weight Management and Exercise. There are lots of basic questions here, but they are very valuable, things like asking if drinking water can help someone lose weight (it can!) and how to turn down friends who “push” food (great question there!). I haven’t read it in full, but I think it’ll be a great one time, early on diabetic read. I’d suggest a library borrow rather than a buy, though.
