Planning Out My Workout Weeks

I work two jobs–your typical full time Monday through Friday 8:30-5 deal (with the twist of working weekends and holidays four to five times a year) plus a class I teach on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

To fit in workouts, I need to do a lot of them in the mornings
–at least two bike rides a week on weekday mornings and two weight workouts during that time. On the weekends, while I don’t have work obligations, I have others–like blogging. Those are days that I try to do long rides and some runs. And Monday and Thursday in the evenings are also times to try running–and recently swimming.

My goal is to do twelve workouts a week–four runs, four rides, three lifting sessions, and one swim. I rarely get there. I’m hoping that’ll improve, but we’ll see how that plays out. In the meantime, with a long (12 out of 13 day) work stretch coming up, I’ll have to determine how to best schedule my workouts then.
