My Story, Part Sixty One

I’m resting. At this point, with just days before the century ride, riding lots of miles isn’t really going to make me do any better on this coming long ride. I am riding–short distances–to keep my legs fresh, but I also know that I can’t cram in miles.

I’m also making sure my equipment is in decent shape before the long ride, and that I have enough equipment with me (like spare tubes). I’m also trying to find people who live along the ride where I can stash a small cooler with fresh, frozen water bottles and G2. I’ve also got some new sunscreen which I intend to carry with me.

On the tech side, I’m planning on bringing my GPS equipped phone so folks can track my progress on the map on the Athletic-Diabetic.com home page as well as Tweet from time to time. I’ve brought a camera in the past too, so that is likely to happen as I try to document this year’s ride.

I’ll be running out of rest time soon.
