My Story, Part Eighty Five

I’m a little worried. While my training has been going well–maybe better than ever as far as running goes–I’m still not feeling 100% myself. I’ve had a cold and the cough that it produced is still hanging around. And I went to take labs for the first time in awhile this morning and my fasting blood sugar was -way- high.

Of course, I also remember now that I had pasta while out last night and forgot to take my medication when I came home.

Still, I’ve been slipping. My weight has been closer to 190–and sometimes over it–in recent months than the 185 I had been for awhile. I’ve been eating out too much, and when I’m out eating, eating food that’s not the best for me.

That’s started turning around.

Me and the McDonald’s Side Salad–often on their dollar menu–have become fast friends, and while I’ll always love Spam musubi, that’s now reserved for the mornings of races. And there’s lots more changes to come.

We’ll keep riding this out as time goes on.
