What I’m Eating

I don’t like to watch what I’m eating. I’m certainly not one to count calories or carbohydrates although I do take a look at nutrition labels a lot. However, the fact that my sugars have been higher than they used to be, I’ve had to watch my diet a lot more closely.

I’ve already pretty much eliminated rice, noodles, and bread from my diet, except on rare occasion. I’m also looking at eliminating fruit altogether, even though I love it. My diet is getting closer and closer to something that looks a lot like Atkins–meat and leafy greens, mostly. The one bit of fruit I haven’t eliminated is in the two frozen strawberry smoothies I make every week.

Restricting my diet isn’t fun, but I think it outweighs the alternatives. I need to get my sugars and my weight back down in order to really make a difference in my fitness–and so far, I think it’s working.
