Yes, a Natural Disaster Preempted my Training

I went out with a bunch of my Twitter friends for dinner on Friday night and got home past my bedtime, when I found out that Hawai’i was under a tsunami warning.

So much for sleeping early and getting the weekend off to a great training start. Instead, while I worried I would have to go into work as an “essential” employee, I prepped by going out in the middle of the night to Safeway and getting a case of bottled water.

Then I waited out the morning at home following a quick ATM run.

Fortunately, there was no damage done here, although there was horrible damage done from the original earthquake.

But yes, there are sometimes things far more important than training.
