My Story Part One Hundred Seven

I hate the wind, but I’m still loving the ride. It’s been a really windy week or two–which is mostly, but not always a nice thing, because when there’s no wind here it’s voggy and hot. But the wind has been so strong recently it’s made outdoor exercise a challenge.

It’s a challenge I’m taking on.

I’m not where I want to be–yet–in terms of my fitness, but it’s not for lack of effort. This past weekend’s workouts included two rides of two hours plus, a five mile run, and a three hour long hike–which I’m not sure how to evaluate, as a run or in its own category.

My diet is still in the dumpster, but that will be coming along too. I’m pledging that will be fixed starting as soon as I can get some low carbohydrate soy milk–meaning tomorrow.

The wind offers resistance; it’s not really any different than any other form of resistance I’m fighting except it’s external to me. All the other types of resistance are internal.

No form of resistance is going to stop me.
