The Day Before the Day

Today is the day before the day of the Ford Island Bridge 10K, which I am somewhat but not as well trained for as I’d like. I have to be doing better than last year, however, when I had a gouty arthritis attack a few days before.

In preparation for this run, I will be, as I’ll do for every event this year, running for my recovering Twitter buddy @LavaGal, coming off a serious Achilles tendon injury.

My goals, as always, are to finish and not injure myself. Aside from that, I’d like to do better than the anemic 14 minute per mile pace I did last year.

A bunch of my Twitter (and one of my non Twitter) buddies will be participating in this one. Let’s rock Ford Island gang!
