Irrepressibly a Cyclist

While I’ve been doing a lot more organized runs than organized rides, I will say this: I am much more of a cyclist than anything else athletically. Certainly more than a runner or a swimmer or a basketball player.

And I’m going to have to make sure that’s true to tackle the Livestrong Challenge successfully.

The metric century was about as much as I could handle on Sunday–I didn’t do horribly but I didn’t exactly fly through it either. Yet the metric century is only about 60% of what a full century is–and I know what to expect here in terms of terrain, weather, and other conditions, which I won’t in Philadelphia.

So all I can do is train, train, and continue to train.

As a cyclist.
