Apparently, I’m Normal (Somewhat)

It was not the best training day on Saturday–in fact, it was not the best training week, period.

I did a bit of running and a bit of cycling, but I stayed out too late Friday night with a bunch of my friends, eating way too much (as well as way too unhealthily); when I got up on Saturday–later than I wanted to–the roads were wet, so I decided against a morning ride or run.

I went to the University of Hawai’i graduation–on bike, actually, just a couple of blocks worth–at around noon, then retreated to my favorite local coffee shop to regroup. It was very, very hot.

Then it started raining.

And in the end, I just said, “Screw it.”

It was a flake day.

The only fortunate part about all of this is that it’s apparently normal to have them. I try not to, even though I’ve had them before.

I don’t want to be too normal on these.
