My Story Part One Hundred Thirty Six

I’m tired, stiff, and hot–which means that I had a decent workout yesterday. The issue is that it’s not as long as I want. Remember that it was just April when I did a 62 mile ride without much trouble, but I’m not convinced I could do the same now.

But I’ll get there.

Fitness is like cleaning house–just because you did it yesterday doesn’t mean that today you can pass. Because all it takes is a little while and you’ve lots so much ground.

Following up on strong efforts with more efforts–often at an easier pace–is the key to staying fit without injuries. Rest is important too, but too much of that will also have a negative effect.

I’m off for a long, easy ride.
