My Story Part One Hundred Thirty Nine

I overdid it. I was off this past week (and while my life was somewhat disrupted by an unexpected death in the family) and very ambitious about my workout schedule.

The weather was also great. Too great.

I was stopped in my tracks by a case of heat exhaustion on Tuesday’s two hour ride.

Heat exhaustion is serious, although not quite as serious as the heat stroke from which I suffered a couple of years ago. I wasn’t sure if I was sick or if I was heat exhausted on Wednesday but by the time I hit the sack I was quite sure it was the heat and not something else. I had the light headedness, the yawning, and the chills–despite it being wildly hot.

I have to get more milage in, but more carefully.
