My Story Part One Hundred Forty Five

I’m about ready. I’m a little sore in the knees, but for the most part, I’m doing pretty well. I’m riding more than decently, even though not as long as I’d like, and I’ve got a solid plan as well as a solid base of fitness.

I just have to get the rest of the training done.

What’s interesting about all of this is that I’ve ridden 100 miles before. Many times. Each time it’s a challenge that requires a bunch of preparation and digging deep inside myself to give it whatever I have. Once I got heat stroke after a century and I threw up–and couldn’t talk for a whole night.

I’m hoping I do better this time.
