Running Gets Cheaper

This entry is cross posted with my other blog, Uncommon Cents:

While I’ve been a cyclist for a long time and know where to get cheap cycling goods and clothing–Performance Bike and eBay are two of my favorites–I’m still a newbie at running equipment.

Fortunately there’s not a lot of equipment for running. Socks–I’m not picky about these–can be had at Ross, Costco, or just about anywhere. Decent running shoes can be had for between $20 and $40 at Ross. I use my cycling shorts for running so that’s not any added expense. So I’m down to tops.

I’ve yet to discover the holy grail of running shirts online, but I was lucky enough to get two very nice technical shirts–one by Scott eVest and one by Reebok–at the local Goodwill for less than $10 combined.

Hopefully I can find other ways to cut expenses of my sports.
