My Story, Part One Hundred Seventy Eight

I’m not as fast as I’d like to be, but I don’t know if I ever will be. On the other hand, I’m faster than I was last year.

Last year in the 8K leading up to the Great Aloha Run my pace per mile was 11:29. In my five mile “stress test” earlier today I ran a pace of 10:57, which is essentially identical (10:59) to my three mile stress test pace the day after Christmas.

And of course, since it’s a longer distance, I would expect to be slower.

So, my hope is that I break a pace of 10:30 on Sunday in the 8K. If I do that I’ll be more than satisfied.
