Longer, Not Faster

Ever since the marathon ended, I haven’t been running the distances I had leading up to it–just like I haven’t ridden the distances I’d ride training for the century.

So these days I am increasing my mileage so I run and ride a little bit longer than the very short (or in the case of cycling up until the past few weeks, non-existent) distances I’ve been doing.

It takes longer, of course, but it’s important to my fitness that I work out longer–so I am.

Here’s today’s almost one hour long bike ride–which was not all that long:

I’ll be increasing these distances more as the weeks go on.
