Fast is Relative

I’m running as fast as I can–which is faster than ever. My fast speeds are in the 10 minute per mile range. My slow ones about 12 to 13 minutes per mile.

This is much faster than I’ve ever run.

Still, when I look at the fastest racers in my age/gender bracket–they’re able to run six minute miles. Fortunately, the only person I race is me, and the 44 year old version of me is about to kick the 43 year old version in the rear.
